Cozy lovely little breakfast place in Port Hood area with extremely warm and welcoming hosts. Hearty breakfasts just the way you like it. The skurlies are must-try. Everything here is home-made.

If there were more places like this, the world would be a better place (at least for our stomachs). All day breakfast and brunch is always a score, and it's even better when the food is amazing. The chicken and waffles were great. The meat was crispy, juicy and seasoned and it seemed to be drizzled with spicy mayo. The egg on top of it was so perfectly done sunny side up that I didn't want to break the yolk. The Eggs Benedict didn't fall short either. The hollandaise sauce tasted the way hollandaise is supposed to, and the home fries were beautifully crispy. Both these dishes get a 5/5. The server also had an amazing sense of humor. I'd say this place is definitely a MUST.

Rode from Mike's eBikes to Sandeannies and back for the afternoon. The delightful pastries and cold beverages were a welcome respite on a warm summer day! Definitely worth a stop.

Small cozy restaurant with a bakery, we initially planned to have breakfast at the other restaurant wich wasn't opening until 30min later so we ended up coming here wich was for the best since they had steak and eggs wich was the best steak I've had in a while and coffee was free with the breakfast. Service was fast and friendly, food was affordable. I will be back if I ever visit cap Breton again.

Well where do you start, in the small back road Town of Port Hood Nova Scotia there is a gem of a spot! I am speaking of Sandeannies bakery and restaurant. This is a very unassuming place located directly beside the road, free parking just walk in. Once you enter the door you're directly in the dining room. Find yourself a comfortable seat in one of the dozen tables offered to their customers. A coffee station is there to help yourself get started quickly. The family-owned business is quick to come to your table and take your order for some amazing homemade dishes, I just want to go back again and again and keep trying new dishes, it's so amazing! This quaint little country diner is a treat for sure, seated close to everyone else conversations often spill over from table to table and the laughter ensues. There is a small back racked area with fresh baked goods, there is a refrigerator in the dining room and when you open the door you find fresh strawberry freezer jam in low sugar options, with no pectin or chemicals. There's also a large chilled glass front cooler with amazing handmade homemade desserts, Nanaimo bars, date squares, extra large flaky cakes, mint mud pies, and the list goes on and on. Wii frequent this location about a half a dozen times a year in our travels, and always keep this place and the Clove and Hitch Bistro at the top of our list, for breakfast, lunch and dinner . I highly recommend you put this in your calendar and address in your navigation and try this amazing spot. Hope this helps.

Great home food that tastes super fresh with huge portions, including their homemade bread! Service is fast, helpful and able to accommodate substitutions. The fudge brownie is out of this world and you should definitely try it!
